Dephect raise the bar yet again!

One of our favourite brands, and also one we have worked alongside since day one is a small independent brand based out of London called Dephect Clothing. They need little introduction round these parts, as since the beginning their cutting edge, on trend designs have sold in equal number alongside some of our biggest brands! All this is made all the more impressive when you consider that the brand started by Matt Drane (Drane) and Paul Kemp (Keshone) remains the work of a collective of friends and associates.

Our favourites from this latest batch of designs include Keshone's graff inspired 'Pest T-shirt', Drane's vinyl junkie homage 'Vinyl Stack T-shirt', and a couple of Dephect classics in fresh new colourways - 'Natural Beats T-shirt' and the 'Scratch T-shirt'.

These designs are also complemented by some of the best fit tees in our store - check our whole range of Dephect out here.

and Carhartt Womens...

Alongside the Mens range there are also some great checks for Women, with the ever popular shirt dresses making another appearance in a different range of styles. The 'Riven Dress' is one of our key pieces this season, currently turning heads in our shop window! Alongside that there is a 'Havenwood Dress' in the same check as the namesake shirt from the Mens range.

As usual there is a selection of tops featuring some great graphics from the Carhartt Artists series, 80s inspired 'Miami A-shirt' and Playarea's 'Technicolor T-shirt'. Alongside that there is some new denim being uploaded soon...

Carhartt Spring/Summer 10

Very nice looking range from Carhartt this season, with some top checks, great priced denims, tidy polos and wicked t-shirt designs.

The 'Duck Polo' is a cheeky nod to the classic Lacoste crocodile, with Carhartt paying tribute to their traditional workwear standard 'Duck Cotton' with an embroidered duck patch on a short sleeved polo. Alongside that our favourite shirt for this season is the 'Havenwood', a lightweight flannel shirt with classic blue/grey/white check. The pick of this seasons tees comes courtesy of Will Kemp's 'Eyes T-shirt' with classic cartoon forest eyes peering out of a great 'Asphalt' coloured tee - and as usual there is the usual high quality selection of denims.

We've got more Carhartt on the way over the next couple of months - our current Spring/Summer range is available to view here.

Altamont Alert

We wouldn't let a season go by without throwing ourselves a new brand into the mix somewhere, and for this Spring/Summer we are proud to announce the arrival of Andrew Reynolds' Altamont Apparel!

We only have a small range of a few key pieces currently in store, but they give a good sample of what the brand is about with some bold designs. The 'CMYK T-shirt' is an Altamont classic with Altamont logo layered into a bright coloured design using the CMYK colour range. Also the 'No Logo Hood' is another classic Altamont piece, with a clean looking zip hoodie with simple 'scribble out' logo on the chest. Perhaps the most exciting thing in the Altamont world this season is their collaboration work with award winning English cartoonist Ralph Steadman. Illustrator of some modern classics such as 'Alice in Wonderland', 'Animal Farm' and 'Fear an Loathing in Las Vegas', Steadman has created 4 tees for Altamont - the strongest of which the 'Delight T-shirt' we have in stock now!

Some Stussy

Thats right, some but not all... we've had our first delivery of Stussy t-shirts for Spring/Summer 2010 which are now live on the site. Stussy are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year, and as some of the tees that will be rolling in over the next few weeks will show they've pulled out all the stops to celebrate!

Along the more classic side of things the designs we've had in so far include a brand new colourway of the classic logo tee, the Basic Logo in Heather White colour, and a mixup of two of the classic brandings, the Stock Skull Mix, which has been done in a neon coloured print giving it a standout 3D effect!

The rest of our new Stussy designs can be viewed here, with a whole range of other designs due in over the next few weeks.

Fresh Out the Box Obey

Some quality new styles from Obey have just gone live on our site, including the summer cut of best selling M65 style jacket, the 'Iggy'. We have also had some fresh new tees in, including 'Japanese Diamond' taken from their organics range (all with full SKAL certification) and the classic Obey pocket t-shirt 'Old Works Tee' in an allover thin striped design.

We have also just confirmed delivery of a very special run of Obey Awareness t-shirts, which are intended to raise awareness for the recent Haiti earthquake disaster and feature the specially comissioned Shepard Fairey collaboration artwork created for the limited edition prints a few weeks ago (see blog post from beginning of Feb.)

As soon as these arrive they will be made available online, so watch this space. In the meantime you can view our Obey Spring/Summer collection here.

Sun is Shining

Just taking a quick break from all things clothing for us to point out this little gem to go with your sunny day!

One of our favourite artists/DJs/performers is without doubt the rather marvellous Mr A Skillz, and we've just stumbled upon a rather fantastic mix he did for Annie Nightingale's radio show that is absolutely FREE to download!

Trekking accross the funk and breaks spectrum A Skillz takes us on a journey through artists as diverse as Sub Focus, The Beach Boys, Caspa, The Jackson 5, Groove Armada, Dire Straits and the Freestylers, along with his own cheeky re-edits of some classics. If you're not familiar with his stuff this is the perfect introduction, and if you are a seasoned follower then you will know this is essential listening!

But don't just take our word for it - follow the link and get it downloaded now!

Obey Awareness

Freshly uploaded to our website is a selection of tees from Obey's new collection. Amongst these is the lastest Obey Awareness t-shirt, which is this season in support of animal charity 'Adopt-a-Pet.com'.

'Adopt-a-pet.com' are North America's largest non-profit pet adoption service, and directly tackle the currently out of hand problem in the US of stray animals that are being destroyed as there are too many to house. There are currently over 7,500 shelters and various organisations that rely on the support of 'Adopt-a-pet.com'. Shepard Fairey and the Obey team all take a personal interest in this cause and are more than happy to be able to help raising awareness for this valuable charity through their art and clothing.

The new tee design, featuring exclusive artwork designed by Shepard himself, is available in men and women's cuts. The guy's tee is in black, and available to buy online now - the women's will be added along with the rest of our Obey women's line in the next few days.

Penfield Spring/Summer 2010

We've taken a quick break from unpacking fresh stock to give a bit of an update on whats in and whats on...

One of the most anticipated deliveries at Switch is always from Penfield, and we are happy to report they have not failed to disappoint this season! With a great collection of summer jackets, some great shirts and for the first time a proper collection of t-shirt designs to choose from.

The Gibson Jacket has already been flying out the door, with its Hudson Wax cloth construction this jacket is windproof and water resistant, making it the perfect lightweight summer jacket for all weathers! On the shirt side of things, the Kerman and Tompkins shirts are both winners with their button away collar features allowing you two different looks, whilst the Anzak hooded shirt makes a welcome return after being one of last summers best sellers.

T-shirt designs are classic looking, as you would expect, with Penfield heritage branding and sharp 'Bear' image and branding. The Big Bear t-shirt makes a return in a slightly different colourway, with the Original Logo tee and Crest tee featuring some classic Penfield logo action.

Last but by no means least, Penfield have decided to honour our support across the years by naming a jacket after us! (Whilst it would be an honour, sadly it is just pure coincidence!) All the same the Switch jacket is one of our key pieces this season - fully mesh lined, lightweight ripstop cotton jacket with zip away hood and Penfield heritage branding on the front chest zip pocket. Available in 2 colourways - Blue and Grey.
