Explosive Xmas Decorations

Something we are going to start doing more is featuring some of the gifts and gadgets available from our store, with many being made available to buy online. But before anything else we couldn't resist uploading these amazing decorations which have just arrived (believe us they have to be good for us to be stocking any form of decorations - fairy lights and tinsel aren't really our thing!)

The 'Xmas Declerations' are delicate glass bauble replicas of hand grenades, that in their high quality chrome finish add a real sparkle to any christmas tree, whilst acting as a subtle reminder of the hardships endured elsewhere in the world around this time of year. Designed by creative collective 'Dorothy' and manufactured exclusively by Suck UK, these Grenade baubles come in sets of 6 and each pack bought will make a contribution to Ctrl.Alt.Shift's fight against global conflict.

Watch this space for future gift ideas, as we will be uploading some more of our favourites in the run up to Xmas.

Brixton Hats and Beanies arrive...

Just in time for the cold snap we've had some hats and beanies in from Brixton. Brixton have been around for 5 years, mainly specialising in a range of mens hats, but also producing several cut and sew lines. The look they have perfected with their pieces draws heavily on the traditional, but adds a clean modern angle that sets them apart - this is achieved by their 3 founders who draw on the influences around them to create their designs.

The Busker Hat is one of Brixton's most recognisable styles, military influenced and with some really smart clean branding. The Heist Beanie is a classic looking knit beanie that can be worn either rolled up or down, thanks to the double sided tab branding at the bottom. Brixton stuff tends to sell out as soon as we receive it into store, so check them out quickly before they all go!

Stussy x James Jarvis

Exciting news (like all our Xmas' came at once!) from the Stussy camp - as part of next years 30th anniversary celebrations, they will be collaborating with legendary Silas and Amos Toys designer James Jarvis. Famed for his In Crowd and King Ken series, Jarvis has produced three designs for Stussy which will be available in a variety of colourways.

We've just seen the designs, and can happily confirm they are every bit as good as you would expect from a collaboration between two as big as James Jarvis and Stussy. The limited edition tees will be available Summer 2010 - its a long time to wait, but a wait that will be well worth it!

Carhartt Womens Top Up

Our online shop has just had some Carhartt Womens stock added, including one of their best selling check shirt-dresses, the Leaf Dress, and a fully lined water repellant jacket - the Sail Jacket. Alongside these we have a design from Carhartt's artist's t-shirt series, and some more basics from their training programme collection.

Carhartt's womens range gets better season on season, with their designers now looking to create specific women's pieces as opposed to just changing the cuts on the mens range to suit.

Penfield Womens Jackets

Outdoor specialists Penfield have made their name from their goose down layered jackets, and have a heritage stretching back many years. The good news is although the main part of their range is filled with mens jackets, they also have a few of their key pieces retweaked into womens jackets.

These include the Jupa Vest a version of the classic Penfield down filled vest with an adjustable hood, and the Millis Jacket which is in the classic shape of their down filled jacket. These are both constructed to the high level of quaility you would expect from any Penfield garment, and are fully insulated to protect you against whatever the weather throws at you!
